MUSCAT: Bousher Cricket Club were crowned champions of Muscat Municipality Cricket Championship after they beat Asfandar XI at the Qurum Natural Park during the weekend.
In the other matches held during the day Michael XI beat Raheel, while Asfandyar XI beat Smile Stickers, whereas Directorate General of Transport, Muscat Municipality beat Directorate General of Transport, Bousher.
In the last game Bousher Cricket Club beat Sumail Cricket Club.
Sheikh Dr. Yahya bin Sulaiman Al Nadabi Wali of Al Amerat and Khalid bin Omar bin Mohammed Bahram, Assistant chairman of Muscat Municipality for Services Affairs and a number of officials presided over the function.
The tournament which was held from November 2 to 30 in cooperation with Oman Cricket Club was a huge success.
Muscat Municipality seeks to develop the skills of the teams and the participating players and to enhance its experience in the technical and professional organisation of the tournament.
The Municipality is keen to ensure that these activities continue to create an institutional bond that will guarantee the success of cricket with support and coordination between the Municipality and Oman Cricket Club.
