Ministry to use drones for insect survey in Oman

Muscat: Drones will be used by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries to conduct a desert locust survey in Wilayat Badia.
The experiment — the second of its kind — will be conducted in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO).
According to the ministry, the aim of the test is to "Support the implementation of modern preventative control of desert locusts and to improve early warning and rapid intervention."
