Muscat: The MSM30 index ended lower and closed at 3,932.69 points, down by 0.81 per cent. The MSM Shariah Index ended lower by 0.96 per cent at 529.10 points. Bank Dhofar was the most active in terms of volume while Ooredoo led in turnover for the day. Al Anwar Holding, up 3.26 per cent, was the top gainer while the top loser was SMN Power Holding, which lost 19.83 per cent.
A total number of 343 trades were executed during the day's trading session generating turnover of OMR1.06 million with more than 6.34 million shares changing hands. Out of 32 traded stocks, 3 advanced, 10 declined and 19 remained unchanged. At the session close, GCC and Arab investors were net sellers for OMR45,000 while foreigner investors were net buyers for OMR28,000 followed by Omani investors for OMR17,000 worth of shares.
Financial Index decreased 0.17 per cent to end at 6,366.19 points. Al Anwar Holding, Muscat Finance and Alizz Islamic Bank was up by 3.26 per cent, 1.52 per cent and 1.2 per cent respectively. Muscat Insurance, Oman And Emirates Inv. Holding, Al Madina Takaful, Bank Dhofar and Bank Nizwa declined 7.49 per cent, 4.6 per cent, 2.3 per cent, 1.45 per cent and 1.12 per cent respectively.
Industrial Index closed at 4,619.94 points, down by 0.66 per cent. There were no gainers on Sunday. Raysut Cement and Oman Fisheries lost 6.67 per cent and 1.61 per cent respectively.
Services Index had a loss of 0.54 per cent to close at 2,019.75 points. There were no gainers on Sunday. SMN Power Holding, Omantel and Ooredoo lost 19.83 per cent, 3.36 per cent and 2.4 per cent respectively.
