Royal Baby: Meghan Markle gives birth to boy

London: The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, gave birth to a boy, the UK's Royal family announced on Monday.

According to a statement carried online, the baby weighs 7lbs 3oz.

Markle went into labour in the early hours of the morning. Her husband, UK's Prince Harry, was present at the birth.

The statement added, "The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Earl Spencer have been informed and are delighted with the news."

The Duchess' mother, Doria Regland, is with the couple at Frogmore Cottage.
