Energy efficiency labels for ACs coming soon

Now customers can find out how efficient their air conditioner is before purchasing.
This can be done through a new label system developed by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
The Ministry has launched an electronic system for issuing energy efficiency labels for air conditioners which will become mandatory by July 25.
Through this system, a sticker will be placed on the air conditioner to give an idea of the electricity consumption compared to other such machines using a star rating system.
