Temperature in parts of Oman to reach 42 degrees Celsius

Muscat: The highest temperature expected to reach today is 42 degrees Celsius in some parts of the Sultanate.

Al Buraimi, Wilayat Ibri, Fahud and Samail are expected to record the highest temperature today at 42 degrees followed by Al Amerat, Khasab, Al Rustaq, Sur and Haima at 41 degrees. In addition to that, the highest temperature in Nizwa, Bahla and Ibra might reach up to 40 degrees Celsius.

According to Oman Meteorology, Jabal Samhan in Dhofar Governorate will record the lowest temperature at 21 degrees Celsius followed by Jabal Shams at 22 degrees Celsius. Moreover, temperature in Salalah and Al Halaniyat will likely be recorded at 27 and 28 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The Al-Hajar Mountains and its neighbouring wilayats may witness thundershowers today while it cloudy or partially cloudy weather is forecast for Dhofar governorate.
