More than 50 workers arrested in Muscat

Muscat: As many as 53 workers including eight female workers have been arrested by the Ministry of Manpower (MoM) in the Governorate of Muscat.

The workers were captured for violating the country’s Labour Law, according to the officials.

The officials from the Ministry said: “The Ministry, represented by the Joint Inspection Team in the Governorate of Muscat on Wednesday morning carried a campaign in the wilayat of Boushar and Al Seeb which resulted in the capture of 53 workers including eight female workers for violating the Labour Law.”

They also added that the legal procedures are being completed in this regard.
