Muscat: On behalf of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers yesterday received Ali Akbar Sibeveih, Ambassador of Iran to the Sultanate at the end of his tour of duty as his country’s ambassador to the Sultanate.
His Majesty the Sultan granted Al Nu’aman Order “First Class” to the Iranian Ambassador for his efforts in boosting relations between the two friendly countries.
Sayyid Fahd handed over the Order to the ambassador, wishing him success in his future assignments.
The ambassador expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan for granting this prestigious order, which carries valued meanings that will be stimulus for him.
He expressed his satisfaction and gratitude for working in the Sultanate that is highly esteemed by his country, thanks to the Sultanate’s wise policies at all levels. He also thanked officials in the Sultanate for their cooperation in facilitating his mission.
The meeting was attended by Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs.
