Security forces maintain tight vigil in Muscat governorate

Muscat: Police and military personnel deployed at check points set up around Muscat governorate continue to enforce isolation measures to stop the spread of COVID-19.
In addition, the wilayat of Muttrah has been placed under complete isolation because of the current situation concerning the health of locals and expats.
Traffic has been closed on all roads leading up to Wilayat Muscat.
However, the entry of trucks that carry foodstuffs, provide basic services, medical assistance and civic amenities such as fuel and sanitation will continue to be allowed in.
“Stay at home, and leave only when necessary, so that you contribute to reducing the coronavirus outbreak,” said a statement from the Royal Oman Police. “Help us with your commitment.”
