Muscat: Vaccination against Covid-19 is inevitable, and as more people are vaccinated, cases and the number of hospitalisations will decrease, said an official at the Ministry of Health.
Dr. Salem Al Tamimi, First consultant in pediatrics, immunology and allergies at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, said: “Vaccination against Coronavirus vaccines will continue until we reach the required immunity, and then the impact of the disease will be lesser than it is now."
"Vaccination is inevitable. Countries that have vaccinated a quarter of their population have witnessed a remarkable decrease in cases," Al Tamimi added in an interview with Oman tv.
He further explained: "There is a noticeable awareness on taking vaccines in the community, and the demand for vaccination is increasing with the availability of more vaccines, and today there are more than 300 million doses of vaccines that have been taken worldwide."
