Muscat: All Omani nationals and students studying in Australian universities are safe, the Consulate General of Oman in Australia confirmed after an earthquake hit parts of the country.
"The Consulate General of the Sultanate of Oman in Australia reassures the safety of all Omani nationals and students studying in Australian universities, following the earthquake that struck northeastern Melbourne, parts of the state of New South Wales and the Australian capital Canberra," the Consulate General said in a statement.
The Consulate General calls upon all Omani nationals and Omani students residing in various Australian states to take precautions and follow all instructions issued by the competent authorities in Australia.
