Muscat: The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA), has issued a decision to stop circulating the 'Slime game' in all types and forms in the Sultanate of Oman’s markets.

The decision numbered ( 301/2021 ) states in its first article to stop circulating the Slime game in all types and forms in the Sultanate's markets, except if proven that the product has Gulf Conformity Certificate or the necessary approvals from the competent authority.

The second article stated that the supplier is obliged to withdraw the violating quantities of the product mentioned in the first article in all the Sultanate's markets in order to maintain public health.

An administration penalty of OMR 50 and not exceeding OMR 1,000 shall be imposed for each one violating this decision. This penalty shall be doubled for repeating this violation. In case the violation continues, an administration penalty of OMR 50 shall be imposed for each violating day and it shall not exceed OMR 2,000.

The fourth article stated that the concerned shall execute the decision and shall be effective from its issue date.
