Muscat: The atmosphere of the Sultanate of Oman will be affected by a weather condition starting on Monday and it will continue for several days. This information was revealed by the Omani Directorate General of Meteorology in an exclusive statement to Al Shabiba (Our Arabic website.)
The Directorate stated that there is a continuous follow-up of the expected weather situation by the Directorate General of Meteorology.
Rain in specific areas
Rain is expected in Musandam Governorate and the Hajar Mountains and its adjacent areas, and it is likely to extend to the coastal areas of the Sea of Oman. The Directorate also added that the rain will be accompanied by a drop in temperature.
The Omani Meteorology department had said earlier that the weather on Sunday would be clear to partly cloudy in most of the governorates, with chances of low clouds or fog forming at the end of the night and early morning in parts of the governorates of South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, Dhofar and parts of the coasts of the Sea of Oman.
Meteorologists warned of dust blowing over desert and exposed areas due to active winds.
The temperature in the wilayat of Al Seeb is 28/21 degree celsius and in the wilayat of Salalah 24/17 degree celsius. The highest expected temperature on Sunday is 35 degrees in the wilayat of Sur, and the lowest is 8 degrees in Jabal Shams.
