Over 650 expats arrested for violations in North Al Batinah

Muscat : The Ministry of Labour (Mol) has arrested more than 650 illegal expatriates in North Al Batinah Governorate in October 2024.

The Ministry of Labour, represented by the Labour Directorate in North Al Batinah Governorate, the Joint Inspection Team, with the support of the Inspection Unit of the Security and Safety Services, carried out inspection campaigns in North Al Batinah Governorate in October 2024, which resulted in the arrest of 658 violators, including:

425 who had left their jobs; expired residency

68 who worked for non-employers

106 who worked in Omani professions, without a work permit

59 who were self employed

49 labour violations were also referred to the Public Prosecution.
