Road safety fair being organised across three Oman governorates

Muscat: Road safety police in Al Badia is organising four educational stations and a traffic fair, to educate the public about traffic rules and road safety.
The traffic awareness convoy started on the 28th of July from its first stop at the Sahl al-Khamayel farm in North Sharqiyah. The campaign, which will run until the 5th of August, will will also travel to locations within the governorates of A'Dhakiliyah, Al Wusta and Dhofar.
Community initiatives were undertaken by the Traffic Safety Committee in Badia to reduce road accidents and spread traffic culture among the community members.
They intend to reach the largest segment of community through participating in this year's Salalah Tourism Festival.
The first station during the trip will be in Wilayat Adam, the second in Hima and the third in Thumrait, in addition to several main points in Salalah, especially near the tourist sites.
The exhibition includes many of the activities such as of traffic activities for young and old, as well as presenting all the work through social media, awareness-raising activities such as seminars and lectures for young people, and distribution of posters and brochures.
The exhibition and associated events will undoubtedly contribute a prominent role in adhering to the rules and regulations of traffic.
